Ukraine-born electronic producer Limewax, born Maxim Anokhin, has built a name for himself through his now-legendary exploration of the hardest and darkest side of drum and bass, all while continuously reinventing along the way. First getting his start in music as a student of classical piano, experiencing The Prodigy live at age nine marked a monumental turning point in his life and career, leading him to dive headfirst into the limitless potential of electronic music.

After relocating to the Netherlands in 2004, Limewax established his artistic voice alongside contemporaries Sam Pool (SPL) and Justin Scholtemeyer (Counterstrike), all of whom contributed to the genesis of what would come to be known as skullstep drum and bass. Widely heralded as an originator, Limewax continued to further hone his sound, releasing music on high-profile labels such as Tech Itch Recordings, Position Chrome, Freak Recordings and PRSPCT, among others. With support behind the decks from luminaries such as Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Noisia and I Hate Models, Limewax's music has gone on to captivate audiences on a global scale.

Throughout the past fifteen years, Limewax has been relentlessly touring around the world, making his mark at festivals such as Glastonbury, Lowlands, Pirate Station and Dour, to name a few, as well as at The End Club's legendary Renegade Hardware night and Boiler Room. In 2007, Limewax created his own imprint, L/B Recordings, cultivating an outlet that allowed him to push himself harder, deeper and further through his multiple side projects, including notable collaborations with Mathis Mootz (The Panacea) and Ivan Shopov (COOH).

While he has released music under a plethora of pseudonyms, such as Climaxim and Sbali Ugur, Limewax doubles as the overarching banner that unites his love of aleatoric ambient music, industrial techno, and drum and bass. Slated for a Spring 2021 release, Limewax's latest offering, Untitled EP, perfectly encapsulates his ability to weave different sounds, styles and genres into a singular multifaceted sound.

With the arrival of Untitled EP on Evar Records, Limewax showcases a musical depth rarely seen in those who tend to be the most comfortable staying solely within the aggressive end of the sonic spectrum. Alternatively, Limewax brings the stylistic evolution of his celebrated aesthetic to the forefront, experimenting with a vibrant array of sounds and simultaneously honoring the lineage that has built his foundation.
